Hi! I am Bernardo Bagulho, a visual artist navigating the space between the quiet horizon lines of Alentejo, Portugal, and the rhythmic verticality of New York City.
Put simply - I enjoy joy, and I look for ways to bring that into my illustration practice, whether that be for a book, a poster, or a theatre mural.
Sometimes my stories gravitate around my country of origin, Portugal, but my present guides me towards whatever tomorrow might bring, wherever that may be.
In my toolbox of experiments, I carry a multitude of colors and shapes and textures that might include found objects, or stencils and brushes, all my to-do lists and an ever expanding constellation of references.
